Finance Systems and Solutions Manager

Reporting to the Director of Financial Operations you will head the team responsible for the smooth operation of our finance systems and data flows. The remit of the role is far reaching and impactful. You will have a key role in driving the efficiency and effectiveness of many of Finance’s key processes. Business Solutions will be one of the primary interfaces between Finance and the wider business and will take a key role in ensuring commercial initiatives are set up with robust back office processes in mind. To do this you must drive a culture of collaboration in identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities.

The role & things you’ll be working on:

• Lead a team ensuring our finance system environment is well controlled, operating efficiently, and scalable to accommodate future growth

• Ensure the smooth flow of data from operational systems through to our core finance system(NetSuite), enabling accurate, complete, and timely reporting of key business information

• Further develop the use of NetSuite across the group, and provide insight and data to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our finance systems and associated processes

• Size and prioritise projects, and build and maintain a robust road map to increase finance operating efficiency with the Director of Financial Operations

• Deliver on a set of KPI’s to help lead the Finance Team to be best in class, developing team performance in line with Secret Escapes core values

• Present results and feedback to the business and senior stakeholders

• Use data and knowledge of financial requirements to support business wide improvements and change

• Work closely with product managers and technical teams on group and strategic projects

• Own the testing and quality assurance of products, systems and data improvements

• Manage relationships with system and product providers (eNett, NetSuite, Kantox etc)

The Team

You will be managing a small team made up of data and system SME’s. Together the team is required to maintain an effective finance system environment, target poor or unsustainable processes, and look to create tangible long term solutions that will be impactful to finance and the wider business. Along with this you will work closely with the heads of other finance functions and external teams to roll out improvements, projects and new processes.

You will bring…

• NetSuite experience and familiarity with the various month end processes

• Experience with data import and migration processes

• Experience with multiple system integrations with NetSuite

• Ability to right and read basic SQL – nice to have

• Can review and create Power Queries – Nice to have

• Experience implementing finance systems – Nice to have

• Excellent Excel skills

• Previous experience working on cross-functional strategic projects

• Experience managing a team and delivering results

• Qualified Accountant
