We are now searching for a talented and driven Head of Sales to lead our UK sales team. Reporting to a Sales Director, this person will take responsibility for mentoring, coaching and supporting a team of 7 to ensure high performance, as well as portfolio and pipeline analysis and working directly with hotel partners to ensure Secret Escapes has an exciting and varied offering that inspires our members to escape in style. This role will be based in our London office.

The role and things you’ll be working on:

Responsible for mentoring, coaching and supporting a team of direct and indirect reports, to ensure a high performing team.

Leading on developing chain hotel relationships and representing the company at trade fairs and exhibitions.

Optimising team performance to ensure we are offering the perfect product mix.

Analysing the regional marketplace to identify new opportunities for the business and your team, such as newly opened hotels or untapped regions.

Meeting and exceeding revenue targets, both personally and as a team.

Supporting the Director of Sales with identifying new revenue opportunities and finding best practices in our operational framework.

Driving a positive culture in the team.

Championing processes across the department, making recommendations on areas of improvement.

Ensuring the team’s pipeline is well filled and deadlines are met in a timely manner.

Being an expert communicator with key stakeholders around the business, including finance, trading, customer service and operations.

Willing to take ownership of projects and driving new initiatives.
You will bring:

Significant experience of negotiating contracts with hotels within the UK.

Strong leadership skills and experience of managing a team.

Proven track record of successfully increasing performance within a team environment.

Excellent general knowledge hotel revenue management and the travel market.

Excellent account management, business development and negotiation skills – previous flash sale experience a bonus.

Ability to manipulate and analyse data to create actions.
