The Key Account Manager position is a commercial role responsible for developing, maintaining, and expanding high-value, long-term partnerships with Secret Escapes’ most significant hotel chains and key account partners. This role is crucial for securing inventory and driving substantial revenue growth through strategic partnership management. The focus of this role is the DACH market, so fluency in the German language is a must.

The role and things you’ll be working on: 

  • Growing existing business relationships and contracting new Key Accounts for Secret Escapes.

  • Lead negotiations for regional chain contracts, ensuring Secret Escapes secures the most favourable commercial terms, allocations, and connectivity.

  • Conduct regular Business Reviews (Quarterly/Annual) with partners to discuss performance, opportunities, and long-term strategic alignment.

  • Being the main contact person for chains and distributing new opportunities and products to regional teams.

  • Forecast revenue and supply goals for key accounts and chains, consistently working to exceed targets.

  • Work with Onboarding/Connectivity teams to ensure efficient integration of new chain inventory via preferred technology solutions.

  • Sharing updates with the regional teams and support on chain-related processes.

  • Brand-Ambassador: representing SE on fairs, industry Meetings, etc.

  • Serve as the liaison between the key partners and internal departments (e.g., Marketing, Sales Steering, Product) to ensure seamless execution of commercial strategies and campaign delivery.

What we are looking for:

  • A proven Key Account Manager with a track record of years of successful hotel portfolio management and a wide network across the DACH hotel industry

  • Excellent business development and negotiation skills – previous flash sale experience a bonus

  • Boundless energy and commitment to your work and an entrepreneurial ‘can do’ approach to business

  • Good knowledge of the DACH travel market

  • Good general knowledge of the hotel market

  • Ability to travel when required (hotel visits, trade fairs, team meetings…)

  • Fluent English and German

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

  • Knowledge of Salesforce
