The Role
As Head of Commercial, you will be the person who shapes what Travelist’s commercial future looks like. This is a senior leadership position, sitting on the Leadership Team and reporting directly to the Managing Director — with real authority to set strategic direction for the whole organisation.
You will own Travelist’s commercial transformation — bridging market analytics, sales, and marketing to define the strategy, bring in the expertise and partnerships needed to grow our international inventory, and embed a revenue management mindset that raises the bar for how Commercial operates. You’ll be expected to bring a point of view, back it with data, and execute with discipline.
If you thrive on complexity, get excited about building from a strong base, and know how to bring an organisation along with you — this role was designed with you in mind.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial strategy — Own Travelist’s commercial strategy end-to-end, from portfolio vision to execution, with a clear focus on growing our international inventory and developing new supply channels including packaged products and tour operator partnerships.
- Market analysis and forecasting — Analyse and forecast demand trends, build commercial models, and translate market insights into concrete strategic directions — reporting on trajectory and adjusting course as the business evolves.
- Revenue management — Lead the revenue management evolution: set the commercial direction, design deal and pricing propositions, and give Sales a clear brief to execute against.
- Portfolio and merchandising — Drive merchandising strategy and offer quality across a growing, increasingly complex portfolio — owning product visibility and offer selection across owned channels including the website and newsletters.
- Owned channel communication — Develop communication and promotion plans for owned channels in collaboration with Marketing and Brand, ensuring the commercial offer and the customer-facing message are always aligned.
- KPIs and performance ownership — Own a defined set of KPIs and individual performance drivers, with full accountability for hitting them.
- Team leadership — Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team, setting high standards while keeping people motivated and focused on what matters.
- Group and partner collaboration — Represent Travelist’s commercial interests within the wider Secret Escapes Group and build relationships with international partners and stakeholders.
You will bring
-
Travel industry expertise — Substantial experience in travel, e-commerce, or marketplace businesses and a genuine understanding of how the industry works — its dynamics, its players, and its opportunities.
-
Market connections — A network you can activate from day one. Relationships with hotels, tour operators, inventory aggregators, or other travel supply partners.
-
Analytical capability — The ability to forecast demand, build commercial models, and translate complex data into decisions the wider organisation can act on.
-
Track record of complex project ownership — Experience leading large, ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives and delivering them. You know how to keep momentum when things get complicated.
And You are..
-
Visionary but grounded — You have a clear point of view on where a market is going and the commercial discipline to build a credible plan around it. Equally comfortable in a strategic conversation and in a KPI review.
-
A natural energiser — You bring people with you. Your team knows where you’re going and wants to get there with you.
-
Confident at senior level — You represent your agenda with conviction, build trust quickly, and know how to influence stakeholders both locally and at group level.
-
Fluent in Polish and English.
